Downtown is the heart of the community and it is our goal to keep it a thriving retail and business district.

The mission of Historic Downtown Sikeston (HMDG) is to enhance
the economic and cultural vibrancy of Downtown Sikeston, as well as
its historic identity. Using consensus-based comprehensive planning
and the Main Street Four Point Approach of organization, economic development,
promotion, and design, HMDG will address the downtown area's problems
and opportunities, making Downtown Sikeston an attractive place to live,
work, visit, shop, and invest.
Historic Downtown Sikeston (HMDG) meets on the 1st Thursday of each month, 8:00 a.m. at Susie's Bake Shoppe, on Center St. in Beautiful Historic Downtown Sikeston. Anyone interested in the commerce and restoration of Downtown Sikeston is welcome to attend. The meetings last approximately one hour.
